Chairman, MCC




Muhammad Zulkarnain started his journey with MCC in 2008. He served as president of Regina chapter from 2016-2021. In 2020, he was elected as BOD for the first time and then was selected as Dawah Secretary of MCC. In the continuty of MCC federal leadership, he was initially appointed as acting chairman and later, he was elected as chairman for the session 2022-2024 and re-elected for the session 2024-2026.

He completed Kamil (hadith) from Madrasah-E-Aliah, Dhaka and Master’s degree in Islamic studies from Dhaka University. He further completed a Post Graduate Certification on Supply Chain Management from Humber College, Toronto, ON. At present, he is working in the Supply Chain sector in a Canadian business in the area of Regina, Saskatchewan.

Father of two sons and one daughter. He also volunteered as BOD at Al-Ehsaan Housing, a riba free housing, in Regina, SK, for 2 years. He taught the Quran in Danforth Islamic Centre Toronto and Arabic Language in Saskatoon and Regina under the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAOS).





Shahin Siddiquee

Shahin Siddiquee is an entrepreneur and professional engineer with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from BUET and an M.Eng. from the University of Detroit Mercy. With over 15 years of engineering experience across Malaysia, the USA, and Canada, he has led innovative projects across diverse industries.

Based in Toronto with his wife and two daughters, Shahin is a dedicated da'ee ilallah, actively engaged with MCC since its inception and numerous charitable organizations in Canada. He serves on the boards of Empatheia (relief organization), Innovative Care and Support (aid for the underprivileged), March for Justice, Bangladesh Watch Canada, ElmTree Foundation (educational support), and Amanah Community Finance (riba-free financing). His work reflects a deep commitment to faith, community, and social impact.He is an author of a book in Bangla named "Canadar Chithi: Akjon Presidenter Email Abong..." published in 2019






Ahsan K Sohag

Assistant Secretary General, MCC




Ahsan K Sohag believes that spreading the messages of the Creator is essential for everyone up to their capacity. He was nominated for the BOD followed by being elected three consecutive times. He worked in the Education and the Planning departments. He was a member of the team that prepared the MCC Syllabus and initiated MCC Online University.

Ahsan is a Professional Engineer. He obtained his BSc Engineering and MASc from BUET and UBC - Vancouver, respectively. He has also finished his coursework towards his PhD. His Islamic education started at home under the direct guidance of his father. He continues to be his father's humble student.

Ahsan loves to volunteer for his community. He wants to see a society where everyone will feel valued, respected, and engaged.






Shamsul Hoque

BOD, Education Secretary, MCC




Shamsul Hoque has been active in dawah activities as well as community organizing in Winnipeg, Manitoba since 2010. He teaches children Basic Quran and Islamic Studies in an MCC Weekend School in Winnipeg. He is the president of the MCC Manitoba Youth Club.

Mr. Hoque completed a Master of Science in Bioscience, Technology and Public Policy from the University of Winnipeg in 2013. Currently, he is pursuing a bridge to a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies at the International Open University.

Father of two sons and two daughters, Mr. Haque lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba and works for the Federal Government of Canada.






Awlad Monshi

BOD, Social Secretary, MCC




Awlad Monshi’s unwavering passion for spreading the message of Islam has led him to collaborate tirelessly with prominent organizations in Saskatoon. Notably, he served as the President of the Prairie Muslim Association from 2016 to 2019 and continues to contribute to the Board of Directors at Saskatoon Dawah and Community Center. Presently, he holds the esteemed position of president at MCC Salaam Center in Edmonton

Graduating with a BBA degree from Cape Breton University in Sydney, NS, Awlad Monshi previously served as the president of the MSA, showcasing his commitment to youth engagement. This commitment extended to assuming responsibilities for NextGen and the Youth Department at the Muslim Circle of Canada.

With over a decade of diverse professional roles at Bestbuy Canada, ranging from Mobile Manager to Precinct Chief, Awlad Monshi brings a wealth of experience. His leadership journey continued in 2021 when he relocated to Edmonton, taking on the role of program coordinator at the First Mosque of Al Rashid mosque. Beyond his professional and community commitments, he remains a family-oriented individual, dedicated to being a loving father to three children.







Salahuddin Khan

BOD, NextGen Secretary, MCC




Salah is dedicated to serving the Muslim community through education, promoting unity by encouraging openness and overcoming narrow-mindedness and sectarianism. Before stepping into his current role as NextGen Secretary, he served as the Education Secretary from 2022 to 2024.

Salah is an Assistant Professor at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC. He holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Saskatchewan and completed his postdoctoral research at McMaster University. In addition to his academic career, Salah is deeply engaged in the historical-critical analysis of Islamic traditions, aspiring to develop expertise that enables him to critically examine Western approaches to Islamic sciences. He has had the privilege of studying with renowned scholars such as Dr. Yasir Qadhi, Dr. Jonathan Brown, and Dr. Hatem al-Hajj.

Outside of his professional life, Salah enjoys reading, listening to thought-provoking podcasts, and engaging in stimulating discussions with friends and family. He is also passionate about coffee, travel, and exploring new cultures.

Tasneem Sumaiya

She began her journey with MCC in 2008 and, in 2009, took on the role of Toronto Youth Coordinator, where she focused on youth engagement.

She earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Eden College University.
A dedicated mother of three, she is currently involved in promoting the dawah of Islam through community outreach and social work, particularly among women.
